BIOLOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIOLOGICAL, AND MYTHICAL ACCOUNTS OF THE ORIGIN OF ETHICS.

Abstracts: How ought one live? This question represents the foundation of centuries of debate concerning the philosophy of ethics, a subject that writers from every country across every generation have discussed, dispelled, and posited their thoughts on without yet reaching a consensus. The purpose of the study is to investigate the Biological and Psychological Accounts of the origin of ethics. Sociological perspective accounts of the origin of ethics, the traditional directed morality, inner-directed morality, others directed morality autonomous or personal directed morality and the mythical origin of ethics. This review paper further acclaims the reasons for which human beings act morally are different and varied, but we want to discover the actual reason(s) why human persons must behave well all the time. Some people believe that human beings behave ethically because it is a Divine Commandment. Those who agree with this suggestion say we act morally because we believe it is a command from God. It is believed that God will punish anyone who acts immorally and reward any person who behaves morally. They further argued that acting rightly on earth will gain one the "ticket to heaven," where the creator lives, and wrong actions will prevent one from getting to heaven but rather send one to hell, believed to be the dwelling place of the devil and his followers. For the ancient Greeks, the code of moral correctness was represented by epics. Writers like Homer sang the praises of virtuous men, holding such characters up as paradigms of virtuous action.
